Под занавеспафосная разборка с главарем. Скрыть однообразие и подавить подступающую к мозгу тоску помогает частая смена интерьеров. Психбольница, стройплощадка высоченного бизнес-центра, подпольная нарколаборатория, огромный сухогруз, звукозаписывающая студия именитого рэпера, мрачные катакомбы, оперный театр (с огнедышащим (!) драконом на сцене и бандитами, свисающими с декораций, аки виноградные гроздья)… Без них аркадное "замачивание" врагов уже давно перешло бы в сладостный сон. Чем заняться блюстителю закона в свободное от сторилайна время? А тем же, чем и в True Crime: Streets of LA,раскрытием случайно сгенерированных преступлений. Бытовые и уличные разборки, угон машин, поджоги, сумасшедшие граждане с пистолетами в офисах, фальшивомонетчики, террористысамая верхушка криминального айсберга. Ловля наркодельцов вообще обставлена как одна из неофициальных миссий: поиск улик в квартире бедняги, умершего от "передоза", превращается в охоту на целую бригаду изготовителей белой отравы. Наконец, Рид волен обыскать карманы любого ньюйоркца или багажник особо подозрительного авто (не забыв предъявить "корочку").
